I've always loved the Bond movies...especially the Sean Connery Bond movies!
They are still such fun to watch and still very popular after so many years.
Cool to hear Nolan compare Inception to the Bond films!
And I especially like what he says here about emotion and romance in the Bond movies and ....
"Inception is a kind of love story as well as anything else"
"I grew up just loving them and they’re a huge influence on me. When you look at being able to construct a scenario that’s only bound by your imagination, I think the world of Bond movies is a natural place your mind would go."
And the director believes that Inception is most like On her Majesty’s Secret Service. "I think that would be my favourite Bond. It’s a hell of a movie and it holds up very well.
What I liked about it that we’ve tried to emulate in this film is there’s a tremendous balance in the movie of action and scale and romanticism and tragedy and emotion.
Of all the Bond films, it’s by far the most emotional. There’s a love story. And Inception is a kind of love story as well as anything else."
